Quick start
Go from an empty folder to a private connection test and a launch checklist.
Prepare and start
- Check that
java -versionreports Java 21. Follow the Java guide if needed. - Create a writable server folder and place the official customer JAR inside it.
- Set the correct JAR name in your start script. Run it from that folder.
- Complete license setup if requested. Accept the EULA only after the owner has read and agreed to it.
- Start again, wait for readiness, then follow first startup to test a connection.
Review the initial configuration
In the ready server console:
nusa status
nusa setup survival 20 auto
nusa setup preview 220 is an example estimate of concurrent players. Read every preview page reported by the wizard; the page count varies. Do not apply before reviewing all pages.
When the plan is suitable, run nusa setup apply, then stop. Wait for the process to exit and run your start script again. The wizard guide covers other profiles, cancellation, and backups.
Before opening to players
- Java, Minecraft, plugins, and dependencies have compatible versions.
- Your own client can connect, move, interact, leave, and reconnect.
- Authentication, whitelist, operators, and permissions match your topology.
- The game port and firewall are correct. A proxy backend cannot be bypassed through an unprotected direct connection.
- A pre-migration backup is stored separately and one restore has been tested.
- You understand zstd and preset effects. Do not use HUB for normal survival progression.
- You have reviewed
nusa doctorand investigated plugin enable failures. - Required license/service connections are healthy and no secrets appear in shared material.
Continue with the daily operating routine.
