Mob behavior and presets

Separate reduced work from game mechanics that are intentionally stopped.

Independent behavior switches

feature-flags.entity-behavior-switches is the master. False restores native behavior for this module without changing AI precompute, tracking, or hopper flags. With it enabled, the individual entity-behavior controls apply on main.

Switch set falseEffect to test
mob-trackerMobs remain on the server but are not displayed to clients.
entity-collisionStops entity pushing, collisions, cramming, and automatic boarding. Block collision, manual mounts, projectile hits, and contact damage remain.
mob-aiStops goals, Brain, navigation, and controls. Physics/despawning continue.
mob-item-pickupStops native mob item seeking/pickup and equipment changes. Player pickup remains.
baby-mob-spawn-from-spawnersRejects babies, including baby passengers, from ordinary/trial spawners; adults remain allowed.
mob-spawningStops natural/periodic runtime spawning. Worldgen, breeding, command, plugin, and spawner paths remain separate.
chunk-tickingStops scheduled block/fluid ticks, block events, block entities, and random ticks.
weather-tickingFreezes the cycle, sleep resets, lightning, rain/ice/snow effects; explicit changes remain allowed.
villager-tickingFreezes active/inactive/passenger ticking, including physics, Brain, aging, and restocking.

Independent controls can interact in practice: a spawner cannot run automatically while its block entity is not ticking, even if spawning policy permits it. Disabling AI also stops goal-driven item searches.

Ticking modes

VANILLA preserves native goal cadence. OPTIMIZED uses goal-selector-throttle.interval for mobs beyond the configured distance from every living non-spectator player. EXTRA_OPTIMIZED doubles that interval.

Running goals keep native action ticks, but acquiring, stopping, or replacing distant goals can be delayed. Brain, movement, and networking do not become asynchronous. Nearby mobs and custom GoalSelector subclasses keep native cadence. Disabling the throttle preserves native cadence in every mode.

HUB preset

tuning-preset: HUB forces five switches false in memory: collision, natural spawning, chunk ticks, weather, and villager ticks. The parser does not rewrite the file. The wizard also includes master-switch activation in its HUB diff.

Use HUB for a deliberately static lobby. Survival, Skyblock, and world-driven minigames may need the stopped mechanics. Review settings and test. To undo it, choose DEFAULT, restore your intended switches, and restart.
